Hot Rod Magazine's C5 Camaro

I am not trying to say that this is the what it is going to look like but I was flipping through the pages of the new Hot Rod and spotted that but I had to leave before I got a chance to read it.. Its was just a couple of paragraphs but I was curious what it was all about.

C5 Camaro? C5 is a Corvette designation...I've heard Camaro/Firebird mentioned as F's...F5 and such. Unless thats not what you meant...

Re: Hot Rod Magazine's C5 Camaro

I am almost positive that is what the mag had in the caption. If anyone else has seen this make sure of this and I will check the mag when I get home tonight and might post pics of the car & small article.

Re: Hot Rod Magazine's C5 Camaro

As far as confirming whether or not the thread you posted was the same pics well for some reason I can not view those pics for whatever reason. It was more retro more of a 67-68 frontend and was in a bright green in the hot rod mag. If this has already been seen then someone delete this thread..

I just realized how much I like that! Seen it before but it grabbed me this time for some reason. Anybody got a link for the rear?

Re: Hot Rod Magazine's C5 Camaro

I read a little bit in the mag last night. Apparently some guy is building a 68 Camaro and is using a 97 Corvette suspension. Hence, the C5 Camaro. Not sure who did you drawing but it does look very similar to those pics but I dont think they are the same ones. Pretty cool as far as the build but there is nothing that has to do with the 5th gen Camaro in the article. Sorry...

They're talking about Teetoe Jone's "50-50" Camaro.....it's been a long project.

He builds aftermarket front subframes and much more for 1st gens.......great stuff!

Re: Hot Rod Magazine's C5 Camaro

I've spoken with a couple of local shops about this already. I'm so in love with that design that I would buy a C5 vette rolling chassis and build that car onto it. Well pay a shop to build it. Yes I know it would be $$$$$. But I'm losing faith in GM.
