horsepower losses due to new emission standards
horsepower losses due to new emission standards
This is in Australia. Their new standard applied to all vehicles starting this year. In the U.S., both the federal and California standards are phased in, making it more difficult to track year-to-year changes, since the newer engines usually meet the new standards and older engines (especially performance engines) can stay at the older ones for a bit longer.
On a related note, the 300C in Australia is rated at 250kw, which is only 335hp, while the SRT8 model has 317kw, which is the same 425hp that the U.S. version has. Maybe when the 300C is rated under the new SAE standard, it will be only 335hp?
