Honda shows first photos of the 2010 Accord Crosstour crossover
Continuing the trend of hideous Japanese vehicles...

Honda this morning showed the first two photos of its answer to the strong-selling Toyota Venza midsize crossover and the Subaru Outback wagon, a product it had announced in July would go on sale this fall.
The new Accord Crosstour is essentially a raised five-door hatchback that skews the car/SUV cross even more in the car direction than most of its competitors, even retaining the name of the popular sedan on which it's based.
Honda has yet to say much about its upcoming product -- more details emerge October 6, the company says -- but it is clearly designed to plug a hole in its lineup between the compact CR-V and the big boxy Pilot.

How would that be considered a crossover? It's no more related to an SUV than the Malibu Maxx was... unless "crossover" now refers to a vehicle that's somewhere between a sedan and station wagon.
And made it way too big for the car. It almost looks like the photo was taken with a fish-eye lens or something ... waaay out of proportion.
Whoever's in charge of Honda styling needs to get fired soon before it kills their brands. All the new Acuras have simply hideous front ends, and now this car and the new Pilot show the disease is spreading to Honda. Even Bangle would be a welcome relief over this.
