Re: Holey Moley!?!?!

I'd trade body parts for that truck.

And if you look at the GMT900 Silverado's prices, I might have to.

Re: Holey Moley!?!?!

Looks pretty cool, if only Chevy would get it built, with the LS7, no bells or whistles, passenger seat delete, and sell it for under $20k .....

I can never miss an oppurtunity to say something like that.

Stripped 5.3 liter Silverados barely sell for that, you can't even get a Cobalt SS for that at sticker, even Minis typically run that price, so why even dream about a truck like that 427 concept with an LS7 selling for under $20K.

If I'm not mistaken, the hand built LS7 alone costs about $12,000, about $10,000 more than an LS2!

If a truck like that made it to market, you can bet your eye teeth it's going to cost at least $40,000, and almost certainly more.

The current Silverado SS costs nearly that much, and it's barely more than an regular 6.2 AWD Silverado with trick wheels and a computer tune.

I'd assume that it would not get the LS7 if it went to production, but the L92 looks pretty mean itself, and it's already ceritifed for the Denali and Escalade, so I'm curious as to how it'd cost to get it in the trucks. Also it'd really need to have a 6-speed option.

If they could get a L92/T56 truck around $35k, it'd be pretty appealing.

Well, that's finally a REAL answer to the Lightning & Ram SRT-10, just a little late to the party (typical GM style though ... "fashionably late"? ).

Re: Holey Moley!?!?!

I'd like to See multiple SS Silverados at different price points. All should have a 2WD regular cab option. Name them after there displacements like the 454 SS

427SS $38K
364SS $28K (LS2)

Maybe even call the 5.3L ZQ8 colorado "325SS" to stick with the theme

Re: Holey Moley!?!?!

I think a couple versions would be a good idea. 4.3, 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, and 6.2?

Man it SOUNDS good, but when you start thinking about it, seems like a waste.

They are pricey but the cost difference isn't that drastic. (I looked it up once and the difference was significant, but the crate LS2 was a little pricier than $2k.)

I would think such a truck (if it ever existed) would be somewhere north of $30K and probably in SSR territory.
