I've been mulling over this "Riv" for the past couple of days. It certainly is nice enough....and if Buick is going to try to compete with Lexus...I guess it has the right look.

But, I don't know,.....maybe I was expecting something abit more.....oh what's the word?.....AGRESSIVE! Not agressive like a WS6 TA or anything.....but more "sporty", like an early Riv or a sporty Wildcat coupe or something. The Bengal concept looked sportier than the Velite too.

If I remember correctly, Crispey based that on the Opel Insignia showcar. The family resemblence is certainly there. This platform is going to be something.

Thought the name of this concept made a rather obvious hint. "Velite" as the platform "VE" and "lite" possibly meaning a slightly different variation (less complicated version) of the standard Holden VE platform?

Wow you don't say.

We must think an aweful lot alike.

Definately thinking that VElite is the subname under Zeta for the downsized version.

I dont think people who buy buicks or a lexus want sport, they just want quiet smooth cruising, luxury, and inoffensive looking cars.
