Well, the kid definitely has a talent for drawing, I'll give him that much.
But this concept is way too based on the first gen.
I wanna see a progression in design, not a regression.
Don't get me wrong though, it's a killer concept.

I agree...but I have to admit, I'm liking this new one better.

It looks like Kris read the comments that I emailed PHR on the first rendition.

I did indeed read comments that people wrote in response to my first design. Not just the ones sent to PHR, but ones posted all over the internet. I would like to do an evolutionary design next and the only reason I did a slight redesign on my old one was that I was improving an existing model and not starting all over again. I did it as a nod to those who were kind enough to give some valid criticism.

Despite the negative feedback, I'm happy to receive even a marginal amount of positive comments from 3rd and 4th Gen owners. Truth be told, I was aimed at pleasing the 1st and 2nd generation guys in my first and second tries, but nexttime around, I will try to make something for anyone that holds the Camaro name in high regard. I know for a fact that no matter what I design, not everyone will like it, so I'm not planning on running myself ragged to make sure there are NO negative comments. I will just work at it until fewer and fewer people can find anything that they don't like about it. Sounds about right...

Thanks,
Kris Horton

I still LIKE it!

And I wouldn't take just anything as a Camaro.

Cool

Looks better than the previous one.

However, I think the 5th Gen needs to be, and will be, a completely new design, not retro...

We all know where I stand on retro... but I think if I had to choose, I'd choose the one that was published in PHR (the orange/yellow one)

I know this was just a few minor grill/taillight config changes, though...

More importantly, I have to say I am really looking forward for your evolutionary design, Kris!

Thumbs up

All those renderings are bad-to-the-bone.

I like the retro look, done with modern materials, production tolerances and processes but it seems most people are complaining about the front end being too 1st gen.

But how can anyone dislike the gorgeous, curvacious a$$-end and rear render flares on that green rendering? Simply beautiful work!!

I'm in love with the yellow one. The rear of the green one looks awesome as well. Good work. I'm not pro/anti-retro, but i like anything that looks GOOD be it retro or cutting-edge-modernistic. That design looks gorgous. Much better than the origami or jelly-bean styling direction most cars seem to be taking now adays.

Iz28, who says we're settling for anything as a camaro just because we LIKE it? Maybe we think this is one car that is actually "worthy" of having the camaro badge.

I'm not a huge fan of retro, but the lines on that car are just flat out sexy! If a more modern front clip were added to that car it would be a homerun imo.

I also won't take "anything" for a Camaro, not even a reproduction of the third gen....

It has my vote. A little change to the front end won't hurt.

I love that rear end! If Kris does an evolutionary concept....I hope that rear fascia stays!
