Have TrailBlazer SS's started shipping yet or what?

I STILL have not seen one on a dealer lot, and can't find one via www.gmbuypower.com.

I emailed Chevy.com about two months ago, and they said at that time in the email that they should start arriving at dealerships in a week or so, which is at well over a month ago now.

Re: Have TrailBlazer SS's started shipping yet or what?

Hmmm... that would be the first I've heard of someone having theirs. Maybe they'll start to pop up soon, but I still have yet to find even a single one on gmbuypower.com.

It's on my "list" of new vehicles.... BTW, Jason, has the GMAC Lease Pull Ahead window changed with the Red Tag sale? Last I heard it was any lease the expires before April 30th... I think Lew was checking for me too.. (I had asked in another thread)

Of course, if I got one, I wanted it to be that Carbon Grey Metallic or whatever that dark gunmetal grey color is, but it's not offered on the SS.

I think you can get Black, White, Blue, Dark Red, and Light Silver on the SS... I can't stand it when you spend MORE for the upscale version of a vehicle and then get LESS choices in color.

Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, Va has one. I looked at it last Sunday when the dealer was closed. The sticker price was $42,000.

GM's been building them for about a month it appears. Here's Trailblazer SS #1 to roll off the line.

I had a chance to crawl in and around one at ASIM. Couldn't drive it, it was just for display. I thought it was pretty cool. It has a substantiallly lowered ride height...so it reminded me more of a 4 door sedan, rather than a truck, which is a good thing.

But oh, that price. Do I smell an SSR type sales debacle coming? $42K is alot of money for a midsized truck. And boy, there are some flatout awesome cars that you could buy for that kind , or less money.

An AWD TB SS would definitely be on my "seriously consider" list, if it had a reasonable price.

At $42k, I would agree... but , in the real world, it shouldn't cost anything close to that.

Basically, the SS package is about a $5,000 (sticker cost) option to any TrailBlazer, so right there, you can get this thing WAAAAAAY down from $42k sticker if you want... but the bigger wheels and tires, the LS2, the lowered ride height, the superior handling, (the AWD if you get it)... plus the SS speciifc styling, etc... it sounds like a half-way decent deal all said and done.

(My biggest beed with the TBSS is the rubbermaid dash board....)

Mine, too. I start my real job making real money in January so I'm looking for something as fun daily which can pull my Camaro. The TB SS should be able to do it, but it is either that, a very low milage Lightning or a GMT900 Silverado SS when they come out (if I like the styling). Cant wait to buy a fast truck.

ours was 38k... it had swead inserated into the leather seats... it had a sunroof and i think every option, although it wasnt the extended version... and it was 38k... about the same as a base tahoe...but you get fully loaded... those SS's have nice rims and shocks... nice disk brakes too

Yeah, I've got a problem with that too. The rest of the interior, including the seats, was pretty nice.

Boy, I wonder what the "real world" gas mileage on a 2+ ton, AWD, 4.10 axle, LS2, A4 Trailblazer would be?

Wonder if this package is earmarked for a future 6 speed auto?

Ya, a 6-speed auto (along with a nicer dash) would REALLY sweeten the pot even more on this thing!
