While not sexy or fun, they are nice vehicles. I am glad to see the Domestic manufacturers getting off their asses and putting out high quality, desirable vehicles. It's about damn time!!
Re: Hah you guys will love this: '08 Caravan spy pics!
The current Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna are nice... they seriously could pass with Acura/Lexus badges on them. They're that refined/quiet/comfortable and that nice of materials and features. Of course they get into the Acura/Lexus price range, too, when you load 'em up.
The Odyssey is 244hp/240tq. The Sienna is at a weak 215hp/222tq but will be moving from the antiquated early 90s-based 3.3 to the all new GR-series 3.5L V6 and making around 280hp.
I say the day when minivans get powerful enough to take out a stock 94-98 Mustang GT automatic in the quartermile will be a hilarious day indeed... especially if somebody does it and gets it on film. And that day doesn't seem to be too far away at all.

Some auto GTs were running low to mid 15s - something that Cienna does already, even though it does it with only 215 HP.

Everything is getting so fast these days that it's not that surprising that a minivan can do that...............but it is still funny.

I would really like Chrysler to raise the beltline of their minivans to give it a more 300C-look like this- http://www.autoweek.com/files/specia...x/pages/01.htm

I'm familiar with a '99 Caravan and I must say, that thing is a work horse. Power is sufficient and handling is good. It really is nice. I also had the opportunity to rent a 2005 Caravan with the stow-and-go seating. It works nice and makes a huge difference. As a family car I'd get a minivan no doubt. Unless you're towing it's much better than any SUV. IMO, nothing bests it for comfort and utility.
