H3 spotted
That most certainly is NOT the H3 I saw in Flagstaf, Arizona on the NAU campus last month! Not by a long shot!
The one I saw was easily identifiable as a Humvee via the doors, which were visially identical to the ones on the H2! Also, the H3 I saw was notably wider... Note that this mule has conventional doors off of another GM SUV, and that the fenders and rear section are wider than the body.
The one I saw was also primer black, but had a fabricated single piece hood/front end, no rear bumper, and the body structure (including doors) looked production. It looked like a H2 that someone got out of a junk yard, and was putting together, till you got on it, and realized it was much smaller than an H3.
I'm really starting to wish I'd taken a picture of it (it would have actually been far more detailed & accurate than Brenda Priddy's pics!
This is a far more crude mule than I saw.

They stole those lights on the rear-end from a school bus
BTW, I drive by the Hummer plant nearly every day and have yet to see any of those versions of the H3...
Also, what is that SUV below the 'alleged H3'??

Motor Trend also believes this to be an H3...

I have some serious reservations about what appears to be such a 'smalled down' and 'run of the mill' shaped Hummer... but I will hold judgement, since it's only one picture.
It'd be a shame to damage Hummer's image when H2 is doing so well...
If you have 100,000 H3's running around.... will people want to pay for an H2 as much?

Saab is supposed to be getting a Trailblazer clone too in order to boost showroom foot traffic. This could be the Saab being mistaken for the H3.
So we're going to have no less than 5 Trailblazer variants for sale in the next couple of years. I could handle 2 or three, but for some reason this just seems like GM is overextending their products and risking dillution of brand identity.
I thought GM's new wave was supposed to end all the corporate clone-mobiles with nothing but different grilles to distinguish them. So now they add a couple of distinct fenders too...ahh, that's much better

Kind of amazing how the bumpers are so high and they leave so much of the undercarriage and tires exposed to do some serious damage when people back up and hit something. or how the tires can roll right up over another car cause there bumpers are so high. It doesnt look to hummer like thats for sure
100,000 units is not reffering to just the H3, but TOTAL Hummer production numbers.
I think that this picture is a chassis development mule. Obviously the middle cab section is from a colorado. The doors and front windsheild have zero hummer charecter to them.
But, i'm loving the size of those tires!

That is not the H3. if you click on the pic showing the 3 trucks, that grey truck looks to have a Mazda symbol on it. Doubt that a H3 would be on a Mazda hauler.
ha ha, I better read more indepth these threads, it was already mentioned. sorry
