H1 and Suburban share a chassis?

Yeah I know it's not true, just wanted to incite some rage in you fellow car geeks. The H2 shares with the Tahoe and the H3 with the Colorado, but I know the H1 doesn't share with the extended GMT800 chassis. Just wondering if you guys have any links with hard evidence/specifics or whatever else? Just telling this guy "people on this message board say so" probably wouldn't come off very well or very convincingly... so maybe if I could just send him a link or two?

He's sitting two seats over from me in my MCSE course as I type.

Simply point out that the H1 (the same vehicle that was used in Desert Storm in 1991) wasn't purchased for use by GM until some years later.

It was originally made by AM General if I remember.

Just pull up history of the Humvee on Google or Yahoo & attach a link with good information.
