Your reading C&D's opinions about one car so I guess you agree with them.... so that makes C&D great right??
And you must not agree with MT so that makes them a joke right??
-boy they've got the wool pulled over your eyes!

They are in this to sell magazines and make money and nothing else. If you advertise in their mag and you help them make money they will write a good review for you. They are not going to turn on cars that are advertsied in their mag. Sure they have favorites but they won't turn on vehicles advertised. I work in a marketing group and we deal with magazines for our products and they will tell you almost up front that for us advertsing in their mag they will write the best review they can for our products. And in turn we let them know that any bad press from them and we'll take our business elseware.

Magazine sales from newstands or subsripions don't make money for mags they will just about break even in that area. Advertisements are what makes the profit. They won't turn on that.

If you belive any different then you don't know how this works. They are free to write any kind of review they want but if its good they may get more advertising or some first time advertising because of the review, and if its bad the company will pull its advertising.
you're way too cynical.

firstly, i have read neither of those reviews because i haven't had a chance to go home (at college right now) and pick up those issues. i still get them delivered there. secondly i'm not an occasional auto mag reader, i subscribe to and read regularly (for many years now) C&D, R&T, Automobile and I used to have a subscription to MT for a bit (though I'm ashamed of it now and sorry I ever gave them any of my money). so your assumption that i'm just blindely following reviews that suit my opinions is wack.

Is C&D always right? HELL NO. Do I always agree with them? HELL. NO. Do they call it like they see it? YES. Is it an entertaining magazine to read? YES! Are they swayed by advertisement money? Perhaps, though I see little evidence of that having read it for so long and excuse me if I don't take your word for it.

MT? Most expensive toilet paper I have ever had my hands on.

I subcribe to both, I like MT for the following reasons. They usually have better larger photos, also I like there performance tests that they have every so often like top speed tests of best handling car for the money, etc. but these type of comparisions seem to be on a decline since mostly trucks and SUVs are dominating the market right now. And I guess featuring truck and SUVs sells more magazines.
