No, because Chevette was a RWD vehicle. I believe the "official" predecessor of the Cavalier was the Chevrolet Monza, which I believe was a full-frame vehicle, RWD, with an optional V8. I suppose "Citation" could also be in the running, but I won't go there

I'd say the Volt is a true EV, but now 100% EV since gasoline (or Hydrogen, Diesel, Ethanol) can be used in a generator to make more electric.
If you drive 40 miles a day then wall charge it at night you will never use that gas generator. The Next Tesla car will have an optional generator too.
