No, because Chevette was a RWD vehicle. I believe the "official" predecessor of the Cavalier was the Chevrolet Monza, which I believe was a full-frame vehicle, RWD, with an optional V8. I suppose "Citation" could also be in the running, but I won't go there

If you drive 40 miles a day then wall charge it at night you will never use that gas generator. The Next Tesla car will have an optional generator too.

The Volt is a series hybrid. A true EV, like the Tesla, has no gasoline engine whatsoever. True, the Volt is essentially an EV when running on Electric only, but so is a Prius or Escape hybrid, or any other Parallel hybrid under the conditions where they run electric only. But both are hybrids.
