Just so you know, Buick views the Grand National like a vampire views garlic.
Buick looked at the Grand National as a car that wasn't in line with what Buick was or is. With the emphasis now returning to GM's initial philosophy that each division has a specific market segment, Buick is going to be even more adverse to having a Grand National-like pavement schorcher than it was in the late 80s and throughout the 90s.
That car looks very Buick-like, but think Lexus, and you have the actual direction Buick is going.
Trivia time:
Buick was set to get a version of the Holden Commodore in the late 90s.
I'll post the story on another thread.

I agree. I like everything but the 'face.'

I still like it though!

I like the grill shape, but that one needs to go on a diet, slim it down a couple of inches and shrink the emblem just a "tad" and it'd be perfect..
Instead of GN maybe the 2-door could be a version of the "GS"(Gran Sport) line, like the old "GSX". I too think they are aiming more at Lexus, they used to have the motto, "Fast with Class" which is still where they'd go with a car like that...hopefull RWD and comparable with a GS300..

What I really hate about GM is that they just fling all their names with heritage around. HOW does that car resemble a Grand National? Outside the fact that it has 2 doors and has a Buick badge on it? Decent car, but sorry, it's not a Grand National.
Just call the damn thing a Buick Monaro. After all, that's all it is.

Unless its a boosted 6 cylinder that rivals the Vettes power, don't bother. Oh and not all turbo regals were black, and actually the GN was the slowest of the turbo regals because they were the heaviest. (steel wheels as compared to regular TR's alluminum wheels)
