Got pics of a STS 4 yesterday
Yesterday I saw something that looked like an STS on the road coming out of the GM proving grounds. It looked weird an unfinished. Seemed to have a lot of primer on it.
I got close and it had a spoiler that appeared to be smoothed into the trunk with possibly fiberglass and then was primered. It had a raised hood that seemed to have possibly functional extractors on it. the hood looked really cool. It had a lot of detail to it. It seemed pretty quick. I was in my Camaro, and the guy in the STS was pulling off of lights pretty quickly.
On the rear, it had a STS 4 badge. It also had a V8 somethingornother badge. It was not a typical V badge.
Sorry for the quality of the photos, camera phones are crap.

Re: Got pics of a STS 4 yesterday
Some one at my buddies apt complex has a black STS-4
($60,000 Caddy and a $680 month apt.
)
Maybe this is a STS4 with the V-series engine. Or maybe just a V-series with the wrong badge
THe badge might have said supercharged

Re: Got pics of a STS 4 yesterday
The V badge was really ugly like they had messed with it for fun or something. It did NOT appear anything like the V badges on the CTS. I think it said V8 and then some more letters or words. It was pretty big as far as badges go. I couldn't get close enough to read good and take a pic. camera phones are junk and the long nose on my camaro prevents from getting too close. We We were on 2 lane road until I turned off and was able to get the shots I did.
This thing was rough. Looks like it had been played with at the body shop. It was not the typical camo you see on the cars coming out of the proving grounds. It looked like body filler of some type and primer.
I dare say, some of the styling cues may be stretching it a bit and looked a little cartoon like. But, fully painted maybe not.

Re: Got pics of a STS 4 yesterday
Just an early build- STS-V. I've seen a few with the "4" also, and I don't know if they actually have an AWD version of the STS-V in mind, or (more likely) they grabbed a few early STS bodies (some of which had the awd initially) and used those to create the early V-Series mules (with the V-Series specific engine and 6 speed auto).
Re: Got pics of a STS 4 yesterday
I was going to say that it looks a bit like next gen CTS, or at least a mule of some sorts. C&D had a photoshop of what it might look like, and the slanted back looks right.
