GMPD future products?
Looks like good news.
Too bad that Silverado SS didn't come out a year earlier so it could go head to head with the Lightning. Better late than never. I hope they keep the price under $30K like they wanted.

385 horse?
That's only 45 more than now.....
Although the weight of the truck will be considerably less, due to the reg cab and no AWD components...........that's still a little low in the power department when entering the game at a late date.
In order to be competitive, I would have thought a nice 425 horse S/C'd model would have hit the spot.......
Still, it's a move in the correct direction.

I find it odd and confusing as to why it would be Malibu Xtreme instead of Malibu SS.

As far as a Malibu Xtreme goes...just judging by the SEMA concept...GM was able to take a boring car, and make it ghastly! I wish that they could have done better than that. But then again, I'm not the target market for the Xtreme strategy...so who knows?
Once GM gets the dynamics of the Pontiac Solstice "under control" look for it to come from the factory with a supercharged ecotec 4 cylinder engine as possible a 2007 or 2008 MY
I'm still hoping for a turbo. O'well, should be fun either way. 2007 is a while off
I kinda figured they would look to use supercharger for the Solstice.. don't they already have a supercharger kit out now? I'm hoping they could get 250 with a supercharger..
If the Silverado SS comes in at a low price range, and the internals can withstand higher power levels.. then I think it can be successful..
