GMC Granite Compact Pickup Truck Concept
Re: GMC Granite Compact Pickup Truck Concept
Not too shabby...
The Granite (and this Granite CPU) is based on Gamma which underpins GM's B-segment vehicles (Aveo, upcoming Chevrolet crossover, upcoming Buick crossover and possibly production Granite)
In contrast, Orlando is bigger being based on Delta II (Cruze & Astra)
I think this would be something unique (which is exactly why I think GM won't produce it) for the market that could be a hit.

Notwithstanding some of the lack of love in this thread, this might be just a little too cool to hope that GM would produce. It'd be nice if the bed fits a little cafe racer bike, I'm really getting into those lately.
Re: GMC Granite Compact Pickup Truck Concept
The one thing that is concerning is that they have it set as a GMC with "premium" equipment, but they are rightfully targeting "youth"... I wonder if they did make this or something like this if it would remain a GMC, and if so what the price point would be. A little truck like this makes sense in the context of competition with Scion, the Kia Soul or various other little cars that are relatively inexpensive. That means base price of low/mid teens. Does it makes sense to have a GMC that cheap with its current "premium" image?
