GMC Acadia Spy Pics?
GMC Acadia Spy Pics?
Ran a search, saw nothing, at least not a dedicated thread. If these have been posted, I can delete...
Acadia Pics
Edmunds describes them as the new Envoy, but I think that it looks more like the Lambda based Saturn Outlook in terms of overall shape. Plus the front end looks too low to the ground somehow for a GMT360/361 vehicle.
I actually found this in a thread on Saturnfans.com, and the guy who posted it listed it as the Acadia. Other posters in the thread agreed, as do I. What do you guys think?
Looks like a pretty nice vehicle.

Front end too low, back end too high.
If this is the Lambda X-over, it's much bigger and upright that I envisioned it. It looks about the proportions and size of the Envoy and TrailBlazer.

Re: GMC Acadia Spy Pics?
Can anybody shed some light on this "Ultra 4.7l" V8? The first I've heard of it is with these crossovers. Specifically, what's the "ultra" all about? And since I'm on the topic of powertrains, can anybody spare some details on the 3-valve cyl. heads? Didn't they debut at SEMA like 2 years ago? Geez, some people can claim to put out a whole car in that time (starts with a "T" and ends with "oyota"). This is one example of where I think GM is still missing it; why hold back your best effort? I can't believe that 3-valve cyl. heads costs that much more than a 2-valve. I would think you could spred costs between the 3.5l and 3.9l engines and between the 4.8l, 5.3l, 6.0l engines to dilute the cost even further. The consumer wouldn't notice a relatively small expense (<$250). They WOULD notice the even-better gas mileage and the even-better performance..
