What was going on a year ago in that same month? Any serious promotions? Annual sales are a better basis for comparison.

Model? I am interested in what else you drove besides the Lexus. The lexus is a great car but with so many other choices out there?

Sales Highlights for June for Canada

The Saturn division posted an 87.5% increase in June

The Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pick ups were up 18% for the calendar year and 5.6% for June, marking the sixth consecutive monthly increase since the launch of the new trucks

Mid-utilities were up 56.7% for the month, driven by the strength of GMs all new crossovers, the GMC Acadia,
Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook

The Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky roadsters were up a combined 28.5%

I was going between the G35 (sedan), Acura TL, BMW 3-series, and Lexus IS. Acura dealer wouldn't give me the time of day. That pissed me off as I found out from sales managers at the Lexus dealer next door that the Acura dealer was having a horrible day in sales. I was probably the only 20-something on the lot. BMW had a very cheap interior and as of late, a horrible maintenance history. The G35 was nice but the feel of the Lexus and the intoxicating leather won me over. Also, in California the G35 is a very played out car (especially the coupe). Lexus interior and drive felt superior to anything else I've driven.

Lexus is built at a completely different plant than any Toyota. The IS doesn't even share any similar parts with any other Toyota (except the engine with another Toyota that is only sold in Japan).
