GM ends deal with Tiger Woods
Yeah, I meant isn't. But all of the cost cutting should go to the bottom line, not to different expenses. Changing 7 million here to 7 million there doesn't matter if they are just spending that money. I am just saying they should be cutting cost. Not looking at ways to spend that new 7 million.
Buick has great potential for growth in the US due to the increase in the number of senior citizens over the next twenty years. Buick buyers were very loyal to the brand, and very often would replace the old LeSabre with a new one. With the renames, that loyalty and familarity with the brand was lost. Most people in marketing would die to be able to use some of those legendary names that GM cluelessly ignores. Having only 3-4 models isnt exactly a plan to grow the brand.
The mistakes continue today, the mediocre Lacrosse name will live on to the new 2010 car.

Yeah, the population is getting older yet Buick sales are in free-fall (with the exception of the Enclave). Baby Boomers have the "young at heart" mentality and even as they're moving in to the retirement community, they still perceive Buick as "too old" for them. And with "classics" like the 3800 engine, who can blame them?
GM has a better chance of selling boomers Camaros rather than Buicks.
