Gm...
FYI, it's not a "GM will be no more" kind of bankruptcy, it's a chapter 11 restructuring like chrysler did. Hopefully not too many of their suppliers will go out of business since they won't be out of work for long.
BTW, I have no idea what happens to the stock with chap 11, don´t shareholders get wiped out?
it will be gone and completely worthless. Buying GM stock right now would be akin to literally flushing your money down the toilet.
Anyway, this hurts since my dad basically supported our family working for GM. So we always took a lot of pride in the company.
We have a dealer here that actually bought MORE GM vehicles AND said that if they file for bankruptcy, it will NOT affect the prices.
This is also one of the highest priced dealerships around that loves to do the "best price" pricing so that they don't have to deal with anyone.

Oh that's good then. I don't know what i'd do if AC Delco went out of business. Who would make my intercooler and computer liquid cooling pump?
It'll be a good thing. As like as Chevy and Cadillac survive. I hon estly couldn't give two ***** about Saturn. Ugly, terrible vehicles. Hummer, was/is a brand for people with too much money and/or a small c*ck.
i find it shocking what has occurred in the past four months. gov't & unions become owners of GM, GM fails, fuel economy standards are single-handedly moved to unreasonable levels, auto manufacturers are powerless to do anything about it, and we get to foot the bill for bailouts of failing, unionized, once private-sector corporations.
the fact that GM failed doesn't surprise me, the rest does; i did not ask for it, nor do i want to foot my $4-$7k portion of the bill.
