Gen V 5X engine?
They did say that with DI added to the Gen V SBC, that they could reduce dipslacement and keep the power of the larger engines, giving even better gas milage results.
Will GM really invest a lot of money into a OHC engine to replace its OHV V8's?
Will this then make 2 OHC lines? The Ultra series, and then the new Gen Vs?
The L92 in the Escalade powertrain mule is a OHV engine though.
Lets not forget that the new 4.5 diesel is a DOHC engine.

Isn't that one of the main complaints of the Northstar. Small displacement? Everything I've read about the Ultra talks about larger 5.x and 6.x displacements. has something changed that will keep the Ultra a low displacement platform?
