I think this nation is long overdue for an Independant. I'm Republican; but I'm sooooo sick of both sides anymore to be honest.

Ross Perot would have murdered years back had he not backed out.

Not to turn this too politically, but an independent would be awesome IMO if they could get the job done. Thing is, our Congress seems too divided over the party lines to get anything done with 2 parties; imagine throwing a 3rd factor in.
Overall though, I would rather pick an independent than either a Democrat or Republican.

Wonder how congress would act with an "Independant" president? Would they get more done - or shut him down completely?

I would think it depends on his/her current popularity.
