Well the entire front bumper looks the same

fog lights, vents and lower grill

 

The Woodward GTO looks so hot. I really wish that was standard on the Goat.

 

...they look nothing alike, put the crack pipe down and get some sleep.

I love that G6...I love the GP GXP even more. I can't wait to get my hands on the first one we get in. The '04 re-design really did little for me...this is a GP though I can really say I WANT...

 

The G6 GXP concept exact same styling treatment as that GTO has. Look at the front bumper and grill. The G6 is very obviously styled after the Woodward GTO.

 

I would love to see the G6 GXP come to life. Id like to see the G6 come with the 3.6 as an option.

 

So do I . I love the G6 , but I dont know how theyd price it . A loaded to the gills GT can go over $28K on the sticker . The GTP unfortunately is said to be north of $30K . So where does that leave a G6 GXP , mid $30's ?? Hell , thats about where the Grand Prix GXP is supposed to be

 

If they are smart, the GXP will cost the same as an equally equiped V6 Altima.

 

That would only happen if GM cut the price of the G6, because the current models are already priced uncompetitive far more powerful, all around superior Altima V6.

There's nothing wrong with the G6 that a $5,000+ decrease in the MSRP wouldn't fix.

 

I agree with (part of) a redzed post. I personally think the G6 is/will be superior to the Altima, so I disagree with that part (let us remember how Pontiac was blasted for having to do a styling tweak to the Aztek after one year as we think about Nissan doing an extensive restyle to the Altima's interior). But I do think the G6 will be pushing it on price (MSRP) in GXP format. I think they need to reach a compromise. They want to get to the point where the cars sell with little or no incentives for most of the year (and the cars are good enough now), but that would require a lowering of the MSRP somewhat. As it is now, they seem to still price stuff with higher MSRPs (to try to bolster the idea that the cars are worthy of being priced solidly), knowing that rebates may have to come into the picture again. Must not be a fun job to try to balance that crap out...

Oddly enough, I was screaming how much I wanted to see a Camaro produced w/ the body panels of the Penske/Woodward Camaro from a couple of years ago... And now wham! Look at the Dale Harrell edition ZL1...

 

Now THAT'S a GTO! They could've at least used that hood and bumpers on the 05 model.

 

If you go on the pontiac web site and look at the G6... it says

Base MSRP: $21,300* before incentives

So with insentives its probably going to be very competitive... base altima with 4cylinders and around 160hp is 19 xxx$. G6's base model is a 200hp 6cyl.
