Ford is the Vehicle Manufacturer of SEMA Show 2004

The article basically says what has been mentioned before about Ford's support of the aftermarket. It's a good read if you don't know much about SEMA.

Nice link - good find.

As has been said here before...

Jim O'Connor, group vice president of Ford Motor Company Marketing, Sales & Service, said, "We know that the SEMA Show 2004 is an ideal showcase for our newly redesigned Mustang.

"What's more, the SEMA Show provides us with the opportunity to showcase the flexibility of our vehicles for personalization and accessorization. "

"Several years ago, Ford had the insight to see the tremendous benefits of working with our specialty equipment member companies to provide its vehicle owners with cars and trucks modified to suit their tastes, lifestyles, and family needs.

I hope the next Chevy "sports coupe" will be designed with this in mind, and I hope GM will spend some money getting the car widely accepted by tuners and mod shops. This will be crucial to the success of any sports car from this point forward for any manufacturer IMO. If a car hits the market, and you don't see specialty things for it soon thereafter, it's gonna flop.

Is it saying good job Ford or that the Chevy coupe is going along a similar route with its working with aftermarket peoples?
