Ford Evos concept (sneak peak at the next Mustang?)

http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...nkfurt-105489/

The front end screams future Mustang to me. I'm not sure if this is a RWD car though.

Thats a nice looking car. That 4-door concept is interesting, will never make it to production but its interesting.
Looks like others are suggesting it will be the new look of the Fusion rather than the Mustang.

Looks more like an Aston Martin prototype than a Ford prototype

I REALLY like the front, but can't decide if I like the rear.

I really like the design, but I tend to not get to excited about concepts anymore, since the real car never comes out looking as nice.

Now THAT is a car I would buy. Wow...gorgeous.

The only thing GM makes as hot as that is the CTS Coupe. Yes, I think that is hotter than a Camaro.

There. I said it.

Re: Ford Evos concept (sneak peak at the next Mustang?)

Found this:

Powering the front-wheel drive Evos is a development of the plug-in hybrid powertrain found in the upcoming Ford C-Max Energi. This set-up consists of a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine, electric motor and high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack.
It is supposed to signal future Ford design and technology, so I wouldn't say a Mustang with some related styling is out of the question. However, I think it resembles improved versions of the Focus and Fiesta more-so than the Mustang. It perhaps looks the most like a Jag XK or Aston, but those aren't in the Ford family anymore.

I'm thinking the next Fusion is going to be a real looker.

The article on Automotive News says the Evos design will NOT be the styling DNA of either the Mustang or F-series.

Good looking car. Just ditch the quad gullwing setup.

Front clip looks like an evolution of the Taurus SHO:

Look at the hood lines, the main grille turned upside down, the center lower grille, and the lamp placements.

I like the tail lights and rear bumper styling.

The rest of the car...I see an amalgamation of Kia, Aston Martin, and odd bits of Mustang. Nothing about the car really says 'Ford' to me, other than maybe the shape of the upper grille.

Which autobot does it turn into?

I kid, I kid... (kinda)

Beautiful car -- first thing that sprang to mind when I saw it was "jaguar", albeit a more muscular interpretation of one. As someone else pointed out, it's a bit pointless getting too excited over concepts since they are always diluted heavily when/if they get released.

Re: Ford Evos concept (sneak peak at the next Mustang?)

Call me crazy but I don't see much Mustang in that.

In fact, at first glance it kind of made me think of a more cartoonish Buick Regal, at least the front 3/4 shot...

I like it, if its performance matches its styling.
