First Buick is into "self pleasure"...now it's milk?

It was funny when Buick named one of it's first major new cars after something that brings back thoughts of ackward teenage moments...but now they rename the succesor to the best selling car in their lineup after Safeway's milk brand? Lexus didn't get where it is by naming it's cars after ************ and milk.

Are there not Safeway's in Detroit? Seriously, how did Lucerne make it through marketing and clinics without someone bringing this up.

Overall I hate the trend of ditching old car names. While LeSabre was tired, I would have loved to see this car names something from Buicks past. I think "Electra" would have been pretty cool to be honest.

Anyway...just a simple rant.

I hope they don't dump Park Ave. That is a good name, very classy.

Electra would have been cool, the name would flow well with current direction. When I think of Electra, I think of a nice, beautifull and sleek American sedan, that packs some power under the hood too.

I never heard of the masterbaution name, what model are you reffering to?(or am I just way too young to get your reference)

I think Electra 225(pronounced duce and a quarter) would have been a great name. Either that or Wildcat.

I honestly don't think anyone outside of Quebec would have made the connection with LaCrosse all by themselves, except that it got picked up by the media. It's a French slang.

Lucerne is a city in Switzerland. Never having seen the milk, I think the name sounds properly upscale and conservative.

No Safeways in Detroit. I had never heard of "Lucerne" milk until Buick decided to go with that name.

When I think of Electra, I think of a beautifull and sleek American Jennifer Garner, who also packs some power under the hood too.

Or was that Elektra

Well, "Terraza" is a type of concrete floor that's typically found in older commerical buildings.

Okay, for the record:

1. Lacrosse=whacking off

2. Lucrene=milk

3. Terrazza=a cool type of floor

I think we need to send all of the marketing people at Buick over to Toyota so they can wreak their destruction over there too.

Maybe Buick is in cahoots w/ the Swiss travel authority, since this is where most Buick drivers would like to visit.....

Lacrosse is a cool name, it only means something dirty to those silly french canadians.

Toyota seems perfectly capable of coming up with real-sounding made-up lame names on their own:

Solara, Camry, Corolla, Prius.

"Camaro" is the bestest made-up name for a car in the history of cars EVAR.

"Friend".... hehehehe....

The correlation you have explained on both names will probably NEVER register to 99% of the people who are purchasing these vehicles.

Lucerne does NOT remind me of milk...Dean's does

Never heard of the LaCrosse thing either...
