I could of sworn I read somewhere that the head of Ferrari said there would be no Dino. Or perhaps he said there would be no entry level Ferrari.
Either way the car looks promising. Nice find.

Isn't that car the 636 Scaglietti (or something like that)?

I thought was the car that replaced the Maranello, 559 Fiorano

I recall reading that somewhere also. And those pics look a LOT like a 599 GTB.

What's the difference between that car and the new/current 599 GTB Fiorano?

Ahhh. The 599 Fiorano. I knew it looked like an existing Ferrari, just wasn't sure which one.
So what IS the deal? The spy pics labeled Dino look just like the 599.

The head of Ferrari did say it, in the most recent issue of Motor Trend.

http://www.motortrend.com/features/c...di_montezemolo

Future Ferraris, he says, will be safer, more economical, and able to run alternative fuels-though not diesel. And he won't make an SUV. "We have no credibility there, we are not Porsche." He defends the rise in numbers of cars sold annually, saying it's not a loss of exclusivity in mature markets but a growth in new markets that's driving it. And he won't build an entry-level car. "Used cars are our entry cars. We are not going to do any Dino. No way. Or a small or cheap Ferrari...what do you mean small? Less technology, less innovation...no, no, no. I don't know why that story came out, I deny it."
So, whatever that is, I'm betting it's not a Dino.

I could see Ferrari doing some updating on the 599 GTB for a challenge series or racing or something like that hense the covering. But to say that car is a Dino and not a 599 seems off unless Ferrari changes the name.
