Is it just me or does the Ferrari 599 look a hell of alot like C6? It seems that if you take the butresses off the rear glass that they look pretty similiar and maybe that why they put those on there. Anyone else? I think it was R&T that pointed it out.

Both cars do seem to be converging, performance and design wise.
When the first pics of the c6 were leaked via digitalcorvettes.com, alot of people said it looked like a Ferrari. So now as the next gen Maranello is progressing, people will naturally compare it with the Corvette.

We need someone to photoshop the Ferrari without the butress on the sides of the back glass. To bad I couldnt find two more similiar pictures.

I don't think it's a copy. Ferrari would have been too far into the design phase to make significant changes after seeing the C6. I see the resemblance, but by no way is either a copy.

I see the resemblance too, but I doubt it was intentional. When the C6 came out, all the talk was about how they were trying to make it look more like a Ferrari.

They're both red. Other than that... the Ferrari looks like a Ferrari and has heritage styling as does the Corvette. But to say the 599 GTB copies the C6 is a bit of a stretch.

Well as far as the headlight design goes - Ferrari has used that 'style' of headlamps for quite some years now, well before the C6 came out. In fact when I saw the C6 for the first time I thought to myself "ferrari headlights". Though it doesn't bother me... I think they look nice on both cars.

I can see the simliarities between the two, but they are still too distinct looking each in their own rights for me to think one copied the other.

Lets see..... both are red......both have 4 wheels......both pictures were taken from the same relative position......and both have 4 tailpipes.

.......... But seriously, though.
The 2 look nothing alike. Look at the back windows, side windows, side scoops, tail lights, tailpipe location, body side curvature, overhang, and pretty much every styling detail that isn't driven by aerodynamic necessity, and the cars look nothing alile whatsoever.

..... save the headlights under plastic. But even that is because both cars have projector beam headlights lights mounted into the body with a clear plastic cover over them.

That C6 looks good! There are a few things that look similar to ferrari to me. Headlights definately. The C lines behind the front wheels. When it first came out I thought the tail had hints of the 355. Maybe a stretch but I like the 355. The Vette looks better than the ferrari you posted.
