F-body Gathering.....today.

Well, I went to The Corvette Museum for the Gathering today, and it was very cool. There were many beautiful F-bodies there (of course), along with the SSR (of course) and the new GTO. I took a few pictures of the cars that stood out the most to me, some of which may belong to members here, I don't know. I was hoping to meet a few people from the board, but I didn't see anyone I recognized, nor any members' cars that were identifiable. I did however, take my picture with the CZ28.com brick, and on the way home got to see a Cadillac XLR for the first time. The woman driving it got on it a little even, which was cool. All in all, a good time and worth the short trip.

Pictures

BTW, I posted this exact same thread in the Lounge, but I know there are probably some here that never go there, so here ya go. I don't know what the SSecret was supposed to be, but I didn't see anything I haven't already seen a thousand times.

I did the same when I was in BG this past March.

I am proud to be "One of Thirty-Five" (brick fund donator)

Cool

Cool!

Maybe it is just me, but to me this thing looks kinda ugly...

Sure, it probably has lots of goodies and all, but on the outside...

Hmm...I'd say there were probably about 150-200 cars when I was there. I imagine more will arrive over the weekend.

Ugly? I love that car, it goes back to Trans Am's heritage.

If they had made it, would have traded my '97 Z28 for it!

I'm trying to figure that out myself. It probably happened after I left.

I'll post my pics Sunday, I really like the GTO...quite a bit smaller than our Fbodies, but the interior is really great.

I didn't catch the SSecret, but a fellow MTFBA member said it was the presentation of a remaining 2002 Firebird that had some family significance for the owner...like a sister died and it was bought in her memory or something like that....I"m fuzzy on the details.

TOuching for sure but certainly not much of a SSecret.

I love that car too but I like the other Camaro even better.

I'm still waiting for something interesting to happen at the meet.

I'm with you... I've always thought that car looked like a bit of a Trans Am Frankenstein... a bunch of pieces all chopped up and glued back together in an awkward fashion.
