Most companies have a "book of knowledge." This 'knowledge' does not necessarily have to be a documented illiegal or unethical activity, but more so it is typical used to store a companies best practices. Toyota has every right to not want their best practices to be public knowledge. Its up to the courts to determine if they have to share every document on their hard drives.
