GM should work on some kind of integration for OnStar and a dash mounted map. They key to a really good Nav. system is real time traffic for helping the driver avoid traffic jams or construction zones. I know GM is committed to OnStar but why not expand it's use. Have the driver use OnStar to call in a request for directions and then have that downloaded on to the Nav. screen showing the route turn by turn.

For me driving an older truck the iPhone works great as a navigator.

I look back now at the utterly reviled 1986 Riviera touchscreen (which I thought was amazing when my dad had one as a demo) and realize just how far ahead of its time it was when new. It had integrated radio, HVAC, gages (GM spelling) and diagnostics 24 years ago!

It took Lexus doing it to make it a good idea, though.
