equinox SS/torrent GXP

what i'm thinking is a 3.9l V6,6sd combo out of the G6 add a lower suspension, bigger sway bars and some bigger wheels. might be a fun ride.

I'm actually excited about a 'Nox SS if it's done right.

Re: equinox SS/torrent GXP

I'm guessing that the manual transmission will never see the light of day.

While I am a big fan of manuals, in a vehicle that may be required to tow I doubt the average (or even above-average) consumer is ideally suited towards anything other than an automatic.

A T-56 could probably take everything the motor could dish out, regardless of load, but it just doesn't seem to ring right in my head.

Is the T56 even available in a transaxle setup?

It isnt. Gm could drop a 6-speed in though. A 3.9L 6-speed Equinox would definitely be cool.

Yeah, I think they are...and its a great idea. Why not?

If Porsche can have a Cayenne, I think the SS name is not above an SUV

Re: equinox SS/torrent GXP

Yeah, so? Nothing wrong with it. Its actually pretty bad***. An Equinox SS with the 240hp 3.9 and an M6, with more importantly a lowered suspension with some nice 18 or 19" wheels and a dressing of attitude? For under $30k, that thing would sell great!! And it would out accelerate most historical SSs, too

Just had to throw that in there, for all the naysayers. I'm still waiting for my 205hp, 2.0 s/c Aveo SS for $14,995, thanks

I don't think sport versions of these two "cute utes" is a bad idea.
