Post Email your GTO comments and suggestions to GM then post them here

Here's one way you can do it: http://www.pontiac.com/pontiacjsp/co...ment_other.jsp

I think everyone interested in the GTO should take the time to do this, so we can all say we gave our personal opinion and made it count. Don't whine or it'll just end up in the dustbin, I'm sure. It's limited to 2500 characters or about 400 words but that's plenty. I just got through writing to them, and here's my message below.

I suggest everyone take a couple of minutes and do this! Be articulate and positive, and spell-check if you have to.

Please read suggestions below
I love the new GTO. I have been following it in online enthusiast forums even before it was confirmed in early 2002. I believe it is destined to sell every single unit. I want to suggest some features for the GTO in 2005 and beyond, to improve it even more in the eyes of enthusiasts i.e. potential customers:
- Optional hood scoops. Satisfy those who prefer the flat hood and those who prefer a bolder look.
- Dual exhaust on both sides of the back. This is almost mandatory in the opinion of most GTO lovers.
- Move license plate to lower half of rear bumper, and..
- Redesign taillights to be more angular/squareish, and extend then into trunk lid. Much bolder look.
- XM Satellite Radio! Perfect companion to the GTO's cruising personality.
- Removable hatch roof panels a la Camaro/Firebird would be a very welcome option to many people.
- Or at least an optional moonroof.
- A redesigned rear spoiler which is not so rounded at the midsection; make it more flat and subtle.
- Wheels make up a major part of a car's identity and personality. I suggest at least 2 wheel designs.
- Same with headlamp design and body stripes / coloring / decals. Variety will attract more people.
- The inclusion of Oil gauge and Volt gauge to the cluster in front of the driver are important to us.

Other than that, the car is perfect. I can think of more positive feedback suggestions, but this is all for now.

The basic design / workmanship of this car is "money in the bank"; a winner by design. Now the thing which will make it a major success is *variety*; more than one GTO flavor, be it cosmetic and/or mechanical, to attract a wide array of buyers. I realize that the target audience is people of both sexes in their 30s and 40s and I realize the GTO is meant to go after high-class competitors such as the BMW M3. As such, the requests I have made may be seen (by NON-enthusiast GM decision makers) as too bold to be taken seriously in that segment, but that is not the case. These are some of the the features that enthusiasts are hungry for, and which will guarantee a sellout every single year, even if production is increased.

Thanks for your time, sincerely

i believe the GTO is very nice looking, i like the red gauges very very much, but i do not agree with the tail lights or spoiler, they do not fit the car well and give it an apearance that is not performance related, i also believe that their should be dual exhaust as that will make the car sound better and look better, i also like the red stitching on the ****fter boot, it gives the car a nice craftmanship look, i also agree with the drilled pedals, the front facia is very nice looking and if it is changed the basic image should be kept
