Drove a Solstice today

We were at the dealer for my wife to try out an AWD Vibe to see if it might fit the bill as an Envoy replacement for her. Our salesman (Fleet Manager actually) asked if we wanted to take the Solstice for a ride. Crisp sunny day, they had the top down already, why make him twist my arm?

Came back with a big smile on my face! It's a good looking, smooth riding, nice handling, comfy little thing. While the lack of enough luggage space for a weekend and LS1 like HP and sound would keep me from actually buying one, if the suspension setup, which I believe is Sigma based in the rear, is any indication of what a 5th gen will ride and handle like, I can't wait to plunk down my deposit for a 5th gen 'vert.

BTW, their intent is to sell them at MSRP. At around $33,000 Cdn for the fully loaded one they have, I'm sure they won't have too much trouble selling their allocation.

Good to hear it's a good car AND the dealer is not gouging the price on them.
Saw one on the road the other day with an old (50+) guy driving with his wife in passenger. He seemed to be wearing the biggest grin on his face.

Seems most Canadian dealers (or at least dealers in your area) are a bit more upstanding that many here.
