Actually, I think I prefer the '04's cleaner look.

 

I am so glad to know someone else is in the same boat as me. I hate the new scoops!

 

They do look a bit cheesy, there are better aftermarket hoods out there.

 

They aren't functional are they? I think they look cheezy and tacked on, but I'd forgive that if they were functional.

Nope they aren't functional in any respect. The backs are sealed with Plastic. This totally is a looks thing, done to make the car more sporty looking. Truthfully, I like them, but that doesn't mean I like one without them any less...

 

I like the Woodward GTO ones more

No GTO looks better than one with a flat hood , no rear spoiler , 18" wheels and the 05 bumper . Once a GTO is cleaned up like , in the right color ...its a flat out gorgeous car .

They add character to the front end of the car.

 

If I were to trade in my 04 for an 05, I'd probably get the scoops.


I like the look without, but I like the scoops too.....


FWIW, I have yet to see an 05 GTO with the scoop delete......

 

I like the cleaner looks of without them. Its why the GTO appeals to me so much. Its sedate looking but packs a mean punch.

 

To me they look like a tacked on pair of lund scoops. I think it would have looked much better with a centered single scoop like the Charger SRT 8 has.
