I really like the concept pics and haven't heard anything about it in awhile. If they do make it, will it have a Hemi?

Either Hydrogen and gas or electricity and gas.

Yeah, I would think more technology, more fuel efficiency, the better. Just like cylinder deactivation: if it works without interfering with operation and enjoyment, why not? But seems like this on again/off again car is a low priority for the German management.
Im all for new technology and the best way to announce to the world that a real alternative to gasoline fueled combustion engine has arrived is for this new hybrid/electric or what ever it might be to beat a conventional gas engine in a 1/4 mile. That my friends would win people over big time, but until that day happens the promises of a real alternative will remain a fantasy.
Dont forget that pollution and waste is produced during the process of manufacturing batteries and from the power plants that produce electricity to charge them.
Alot of these alternatives are doing nothing more then moving polution and waste from one location to another.

Getting back to the subject of this thread
, word is there will be a performance coupe at Dodge, it's just a matter of when.
Factors? Money, market, and competition. A mopar coupe simply won't sell in Mustang-like volumes, and it can't be spread out amoung divisions for volume like GM can do. Therefore, it's a much bigger deal at Chrysler to do a coupe than at Ford or GM.
At any rate, when it does come out, it most certainly won't be a low budget performance car, so don't look forward to that if you are.

Ford Model U
VERY noteworthy, as it utilizes a -get this- SUPERCHARGED hydrogen burner!
"A 2.3-liter, four-cylinder supercharged, intercooled hydrogen internal combustion engine, coupled with a hybrid electric transmission, propels Model U. It offers enhanced fuel economy—the equivalent of 45 miles per gallon and about 300 miles of range—plus near-zero regulated emissions and a 99-percent reduction in carbon dioxide."

Ford's Supercherged Future
Yes boys and boys, that is on Vortech's website!
In ref to "a manufacturer working with the aftermarket" theme.
I recall a thread a couple months back asking what was going to be the next tuner market after the rice wave goes by...
Well... thar's ya sign!
I guess with the SUV/truck craze of late, it's getting more economical and feasible to develop new technology in them than in cars?
But I can still see this kind of engine/tuner technology coming into the cars. I welcome the new technology myself... we all need something clean and cheap for our daily beaters, right?

Personally, I don't think that DCX needs yet another RWD coupe in the >$35K range, but the original Charger concept was one hot-looking piece of work and Chrysler does a decent job of bring concept styling to production cars.
Interestingly enough, the Chrysler booth at this weekend's St. Ignace car show had the Charger concept displayed quite prominently alongside the Magnum SRT-8.
