Dodge claims 12.4 at 110 for 6.4 Challenger

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...pressions.html Well that's what motor trend is claiming Dodge has told them so maybe the 12.4 1/4 youtube video of the 392 edition is legit.

I suppose it's possible, though the lighter, 550 hp GT500 Mustang doesn't run the 1/4 any faster than that in Car and Driver / Motor Trend / etc. magazine land.

GT500 is only 1/10th faster than a 426HP Camaro SS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFbxZZtywZ0 looks like it's legit, Dodge was testing them at the track, stock tires, not sure if it was an auto or manual.

110mph traps are about what the GT and SS are running. A little skeptical about the 12.4 being the norm though, especially with those 245/255 tires. We'll see i guess. Nice looking car.

I think it has 255's out back but it seemed to hook up and go pretty good, track could have been prepped maybe that is what did the great times.

One of the guys over on another car forum talked to the guy driving and it is a stock 392 just like what you would get off the showroom floor when they arrive. No special tune.

The MPH makes no sense. The GT500 runs a similar time but up at 116-117. It must be geared insanely low.

12.4 @ 110 means the car hooked - good - and that it was probably an Automatic. Personally, 110 mph 1/4 mile times with that kind of power is a bit....well.....underwhelming.

Yeah, it almost seems like an all wheel drive et/mph. With that power it should be much higher.

12.4 seems pretty good to me for the first video pass anyone has seen. Remember that was only 1 run we still don't know what the car can do. It might be worse it might be better.

With craptacular traction it might only be 10th quicker.

my 09 car with its FRPP CAI (rated @ 540hp) can run a pretty consistant 12.6x @ 114 or so mph and thats granny shifting and leaving the line at a street tire friendly 1800 rpm.

from my experience a 12.4 @ 110 should be a 1.7-1.8 60'. if they were able to achieve that that is impressive!
