displacement on demand?

question: how many mpg are saved town/city when using this?

Pretty sure I remember seeing GM throw out a figure of 10-12% fuel savings . Which to them would be substantial spread over a large # of vehicles and their corprate average fuel economy .

I was under the impression that D.O.D. was intended for V8's only (at least initially)

I thought i heard talks of it showing up on the v6's too a year or two ago.
