Oh, dear lord!! It looked better before!

The tiny grillette does nothing and I just don't know what to say about all those little chrome accents.

Here's a quicky photoshop from the same thread...so much better.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I mean, I didn't think it looked too great before, but geez.

I don't care for that at all.

That redesign was probably finalized before the decision was made to bring Opel here as Saturns . Ive got pics of the 91-92 Firebirds in clay that were from early 1989 . This is Saturns LAST design attempt on their own ??

I sure hope so. They haven't designed anything good looking except for the Vue Red Line and the last generation coupe.

What is it?

For what its worth, I think that looks 10x better than the current Vue.

Um, I think Saturn is still retaining interior and exterior design control. The vehicles will be like the Camaro and Firebird. Same car as Opel at heart, but styled by Saturn. Has that changed?

Kia, Hyundai have surpassed GM in design, IMO, in many vehicles (not all, though).

What I find utterly retarded is GM NA thinking that Americans love European cars, only dulled down in horsepower and ugli-fied in style. Actually, that is also true of Ford with their European Focus and North American one. Honda too has a beautiful TSX as Accord, and made some Frankenstein for an Accord in North America.

Really, what is it about North America that invites for uninspiring, and even outright ugly designs of the SAME vehicles as Europeans have?

Wow, that car looks like it's missing a chromosome or two.

I don't think Hynduia and Kia have us beat in design(all their cars are good looking rip offs of something else).

I will give a big AMEN to the rest of that though. People love those BMW's, Benzs, and VW's because they are so European and make no apologies.

I really liked the original VUE front styling.... this one, the grille looks a little small, and it makes it look "uptight" or something.

It's not terrible though, it'll probably grow on me.

I dont think they have anything really that lokis that good. What they do have thats decent they had styled at foreign studios. They have no in house talent.

By the way, in the old days everyone used outside designers. Even the US makers.
