From Autoweek:
Challenger decision may come by Oct.
The Chrysler group may decide whether to make the Challenger muscle car as early as the end of the third quarter, CEO Tom LaSorda says. LaSorda on Friday, June 16, said Chrysler has been flooded with positive responses to the Challenger concept, shown at the Detroit auto show in January.

Re: Decision on Challenger may come by October.
Did you see what the GT500 ran with "500" horsepower. It seems that either Ford is overestimating their output, or the gearing, tire size, suspension geometry is messed up. Because it wasn't trapping the speeds 500 hp or approximately 425 RWHP should do. Even with 3800 lbs to move. SRT8s, in good air are getting low 13s and some breaking into the 12's bone stock. So DCX and GM seem to be conservative, and Ford seems to be optimistic. Now if the Camaro has the LS7, with a curb weight of around 3500 we would have the ZL1 Camaro all over again! This is the golden age of horsepower.
