Decision on Challenger may come by October.

I hope they drop the 392 into the SRT8. 510 hp sounds good for the top of the line pony car, and would kill any Camaro or Mustang.

Actually it would likely run neck and neck with the GT500. Both weigh about 4000 lbs and have around 500 hp. The GT500 would probably do better on a road course though. Heres to hoping the Camaro comes in lighter but with better power to weight ratio!

Did you see what the GT500 ran with "500" horsepower. It seems that either Ford is overestimating their output, or the gearing, tire size, suspension geometry is messed up. Because it wasn't trapping the speeds 500 hp or approximately 425 RWHP should do. Even with 3800 lbs to move. SRT8s, in good air are getting low 13s and some breaking into the 12's bone stock. So DCX and GM seem to be conservative, and Ford seems to be optimistic. Now if the Camaro has the LS7, with a curb weight of around 3500 we would have the ZL1 Camaro all over again! This is the golden age of horsepower.
