CTS... convertible?

I was sitting at a light across from a Cadillac dealership today and I caught the end of a Caddy vert. Looked like a CTS to me but I thought no way, then it turned in and it was a 4 door CTS vert with a roll bar between the seats. Unless GM decided to start testing cars down here it was a conversion, but damn guys it looked really good. Yea, 4 door vert looked real solid. I cant even imagine how good a CTC vert would look.

here's an article explaining the possibilities of a CTS Wagon that GM is aready testing

CTS Wagon

btw, did it look like this...

CTS Convet

I think that was done at a place that creates them. someone said it was like $17,000 to have it done. but from what I hear, I think there make be some GM verts running around. no confermation on this though

Man, I don't know. The convertible just reminds me a little too much of a VW Cabrio. I can maybe see a CTS wagon looking decent, though.

Another example of how one can discover future models from harmless comments:
..."and could add the model to the CTS lineup around 2006-2007, company executives tell Ward’s"...
And:
..."“We could do it, but not right now,” says CTS Marketing Director Jay Spenchian. “We’d have to wait until the next-generation CTS.”"
The next generation CTS will be out around 2006/2007.

.....Wait! Isn't there some other RWD GM cars comming out then too?

I'm not usually one to offer an opinon on aestetics...

...but it looks horrible.

The roll bar ruins the entire thing.

The CTS looks weird as is. A chopped roof only looks weirder.

The CTS looks great. But I'm not feeling that convertible either.
