A couple Z06 details I havent seen mentioned elsewhere .

I thought the pics and info were embargoed till Jan. 10th . RPM magazine has all the pictures and details that were posted on here and more in the current issue on the newstand .

-Front fenders are Carbon fiber
-GM finally has desiged a VERY cool steering wheel . The Z06 has a 3 spoke wheel , 20 mm smaller in diameter than the standard C6 . It looks much liek the Audi 3 spoke wheel , but with aluminum accents and vette logo in the center . It looked fantastic in the pics , as well as the 2 tone interior . Looks like an entirely new wheel , its not the CTS/STS 3 spoke wheel .

Any pics of the wheel? I don't recall seeing it in any of the ZO6 pictures.

yea, the wheel looked decent
maybe a little bit fat on the spokes for me, but better than the standard one, that's for sure

The wheel looks like they lifted it from the Solstice, which is something I have been ranting about all freakin year!
I think that it should trickle down to the regular C6. The melted Malibu wheel isnt very attractive.
And yeah, I hear 2 reports that the inner fender is CF, but MT said that the outer fender is CF, as well as the floorboards.

The article in RPM magazine said the entire front fenders were carbon fiber ,

Until they come out with a digital steering wheel or a yoke type one, I really won't care. Grandma Wagon steering wheels 30" big, "cool"( ) 3 spoke designs, or after market 10" 2 spokes, they're all the same to me. Time to get the auto industry in gear with the future.

Bought time they managed to incorperate a good looking steering wheel and an airbag in the same package.

I much perfer the regular C6 steering wheel... I never understood why people complain about it.

This one is bland looking... nothing wrong with that, I suppose, but I really perfer a 4-spoke or 2-spoke to a 3-spoke wheel, so I can comfortably gran it with an overhand grip at the bottom of the wheel while freeway driving... can't do that at all with a 3-spoke.

500hp and many folks can't get over the steering wheel...

I guess I just don't get it. It could use a rudder from a rowboat for all I care, just gimme that motor...

PacerX <------ Ambles off, muttering about how far out of touch he is with the rest of humanity.

Hey - All I'm saying is that I perfer the base C6 4-spoke steering wheel to the 3-spoke Z06 wheel, and I actually gave a good reason other than saying "it looks dumb" like most people post when saying they don't like something... and the only reason I even mention it it because so many people have blasted the 4-spoke wheel......

It's no biggy Darth, my engineering mind just can't wrap itself around the fact that steering wheels get so much press.

Not taking shots at ya, just explaining my inability to understand it.

Aestetics just ain't my strong point.
