I wonder if all that stuff about not going down market means that a CTS coupe is out? I hope not, I think a CTS coupe would be a hit.

I agree! But I have heard nothing substantiated to suggest a CTS Coupe is even being considered

I am picturing this top-flight Caddilac sedan to be a BMW 7-series killer...

Actually, I think what Lutz meant is that Caddilac will not try to produce a 1-series fighter type car...

BMW is working on that 1-series, and it looks like a cross between a Geo Metro and a Honda Civic Si... Not exactly an image reinforcer for BMW, IMO...

qoted from the article

Last month, GM announced that funding had been approved for the production of a 7.5-liter V-12 engine capable of more than 500 hp. Production volumes will be limited to fewer than 5,000 units annually.

The V-12 also is being developed to fit in the same space as the V-8 engines that GM uses in full-sized trucks and sport-utilities, such as the Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT.
Interseting. wonder what else they can fit it in!

Trailblazer SS?

OK, someone had to make the joke

What do you guys think about the market strategy? I dont know if Caddy should have built themselves back up to the level, or just jumped right in as they appear to be doing. It'll be interesting to say the least. I just hope its arts & science styled, I love those looks.

LaNeve once said that Cadillac won't be going below CTS in market, so I wouldn't count that CTS coupe (CTC?) out just yet.

I think that $100,000 Cadillac is going to be s bit above the BMW 7 series, however.
