Could Chevy use these cars?

G6 coupe

G6 convertible

It's amazing there's a Malibu under that skin.

Could Chevy use a stylish coupe and convertible version of G6?

I think Chevy has enough cars already without "stealing" other cars. Chevy has the Vette, and future 5th gen or "rwd sporty coupe" as well as SSR. And if Chevy gets a platform mate from Solstice, I feel that Pontiac should have the G6 all too itself. Spread the wealth a little, ya know? Allow other divisions to have cars that can appeal to otehr segments.

Don't you think that line up could be fleshed out?

A $40-$50,000 car, a $42,000 truck and an unofficial car that is years away.

Thank you sir , I was just thinkin today what the g6 coupe is gonna look like . A AWD 275 hp 6 speed GTP is lookin like a pretty cool winter beater .

As far as chevy needing a version of this . Hmmm , I think reeeeeeeeeally , the Monte should go bye bye and a version of this car should be its replacement . Its flexible enuff to fullfill everything a monte type car is and way beyond . FWD , AWD , vert , auto , 6 speed . Played against all those choices , who would want a big FWD , auto only coupe ....V8 or not ?

Leave the G6 coupe and vert to Pontiac. Chevy has there Epsilion car. I dont want rebadges running amuck in the sedans anymore. The G6 will make a great line up of cars for Pontiac. Id like for some of that engine power and the manual trans to make its way to the Maxx!

And all the G6's are the extended wheelbase, like the Maxx.

Perhaps if Chevrolet replaced the Monte Carlo with a version of the G6 coupe & convertible, that would solve that "too much product" concern. What do you think?

It's been awhile since we had a poll anyway.

Am I missing something here? Whenever the Firebird is brought up for a possible return, many say that it's not worth it considering it shares many similarities with the Camaro. Basically, they argue what's the point of having a twin sister car with just a different front end/rear and minor changes. Well, wouldn't this be the same if Chevy got a variant of the G6 coupe and Convertible? Basically, only rebadging the car as a Chevy with it being the same car as the Pontiac. Where's the buisness plan for that? I'm just not seeing it. Can anyone, GuionM perhaps, fill me in what would be the difference between the two scenarios?
