Complete 2008 GM Model Year Additions

Pontiac gets the G6 GXP. Cobalt SS Supercharged is renamed Cobalt Sport.

Cadillac STS gets many changes.

Here's a link with a directory for all of GM's changes made available today.

I noticed a lot of "tire pressure monitoring system standard on all models"

The Equinox Sport looks like a baby trailblazer SS - looks wicked sharp imho. If they offered it in a manual - or better yet - a hybrid - I'd be all over that.

HHR panel! Need I say more... but no "SS"?

No more Grand Prix GT?

H3 has the 5.3L V8

The Saab 9X and 93X are just downright freaking hideous.

I thought the grand prix was going away period for the G8. Will the G8 be considered a 2009, as it is not listed for pontiac's 2008 cars?

The guy that used to live in the next apartment was always driving home what I assuem was a test mule HHR SS. It was all hacked up and had a metal cage around an intercooler on the front bumper. Must still be in development or too dumb to produce.

Oh but wait, you get the over exaggerated grill and the hood scoops. That has to account for at least 20 hp...

I promise that will be the only time I use ricer math

The HHR SS brochure has already leaked, so they just must not be ready to announce it yet:

Actually the Supercharged is discontinued and the SS 2.4 is renamed Cobalt Sport. New Cobalt SS coming in the near future according to fbodfather. Everyone's assuming it will use the turbo from the HHR since they're both Deltas.

Right, it will use the turbo from the HHR SS, however it is renamed "Sport."

There are lots of "standard XM" etc. I am glad I got my Solstice first year before all the junk that clutters the trunk became standard.

The G8 will make its Michigan debut this Sunday for those interested in seeing it that might not have been able to view it in Chicago.

No, the turbo will be the SS, not the Sport. There were previously two SS models:

SS (2.4 Liter Naturally aspirated Ecotec)

Supercharged SS (2.0 Supercharged)

There is now just the Sport, which replaces the first one, the 2.4 naturally aspirated SS. It's the exact same car as the 2.4 SS except no SS badging.

There will likely be a Turbocharged SS coming early next year using the new Turbo engine from the HHR SS and it will be called SS, not Sport.

nice pics of the 08 vette with Jetstream Blue Metallic. I thought it was too bright but those pics make the color look amazing. I hope it's offered on the Camaro!

Question Saturn Astra XR??

Where is it on the 2008 Saturn list? Why hasn't more information on this car come out yet? Pricing? colors? I need a daliy driver before the Camaro convertible comes out.

Astra is first on the Saturn list, but doesn't provide much on the trim levels. It just says:

Two trim levels and configurations: three-door XR and five-door XE and XR.

The Astra order guide is HERE but it doesn't give colors.

Someone at GMI who said they'd seen the chart at the dealership said Black, White, Red, Silver, Sandstone, and Blue, which I think is fairly believable.

Most speculation is around $16,000 for XE and $18,000 for XR. Biggest bummer in the order guide is apparently no sunroof for the 3 door. That's a problem for the targeted audience IMO.
