That's nice, but its still not alot of power, especially for a truck.
What GM needs to do, is have a ground effects/hood option with wheels. Have you seen the S-runner/X-runner tacoma's? They should't even bother with puting a v8 in it, as long as some supercharger is available from the dealer.
GM should've of been on that 5 years ago.
Toyota never advertises this truck, that's why no one knows about it, and why it isn't a big seller.

Actaully, now that I think about it, GM shouldn't consider my opinion. I'm too young to afford one of their cars with options like this.

All the Colorado needs is an LSx motor to make it sell. WHY they keep farting around with the 5 cylinder is beyond me. I've driven quite a few new Dakotas since starting the dealership a month ago, and the ONLY thing significantly better about the Dakota than the Colorado is the engine...
And an engine in a pickup makes all the difference in the world...

If this was a 6 cyl. putting out the same HP you would not hear a complaint, but the fact that it is a 5 cyl. freaks people out. Add direct injection and power would be up around 275HP and I bet people would still freak.
Truck buyers love V8s and almost for marketing and customer perception reasons alone GM should put a V8 in this truck. They would sell a lot of V8 ZQ8 and Z71 Colorados.
The added HP is very welcome

As for the interior, I think it is "garbage" only when compared to some of the nicer full size trucks (or nicer cars). Compared to an economy car (of which the Colorado is the truck equivalent) or other compact trucks (Tacoma, Frontier, Dakota), I think the interior is fine. The Tacoma might have a little fresher looking dash (mainly in the stereo/hvac head unit area), but ALL of them in that price range use cheap, hard plastics for the dash, doors, etc. The Frontier and Dakota in particular have horrid dashboards (but again, these are cheap, small "econo" trucks, so I'm not expecting a Caddy or Lexus). When the new Frontier, Tacoma, and Dakota debuted all around the same time (basically one season after) the Colorad/Canyon came out, I made a particular point of checking out all of their interiors at NAIAS.
My $0.02.
