I think the 1000HP sixteen would be better for the Luxary car co. image. But I'd rather own the Cien

I went for the 16 because while I dont like the styling, my dad is crazy about old Caddys (pre 39) and well damnit, they had a 16 back then.

TThis is the car Cadillac should have made instead of the XLR.

I can say that now that I've seen both upclose & personal!

 

The Cien is gorgeous. I can't say the same for the sixteen.

 

i like the cien way better, i don't see what anyone sees in the 16 except for the engine, to me that car is ugly cause it looks too much like the older caddies

 

They need to build the Cien so they can give the new GT some competition. Well, at least Ford would have somthing to try to keep up with. Imagine it, Ford's fastest car, dusted by a Caddie! Not to mention the Viper. They never said how much the Cien would cost did they?

 

I'd assume a price tag closer to the Enzo's, S7's, and Carrera GT's. 750hp supercars don't come cheap. The Cien would be positioned way over the Ford GT which is more of a 911 turbo, GT2, and F360 competitor.

The Cien's v12 (most likely a detuned version) will make it to production from what we've heard, but it'll show up in some luxury Cadi sedan. The Cien is much like the Ford GT90 from a half a decade back in that it'll most likely remain a concept.

Ask a bunch of sports car guys what they want and what do you think they'll pick? Might as well ask "Mustang or Camaro".

 

Cien is the one I see as more likely to evolve into a performance halo car that could inspire cheaper similar cars at Cadillac or elsewhere within GM so it gets my vote. I mean if they're on a roll, the XLR will not be enough. Let's milk this run for all it's worth The 16 is awesome and I would love to see it happen, but in current form it seems a little too unreachable and it's inherently a rich old man's trophy. Between the two, the Cien is also the one I see as more likely to sell well enough to justify, even with its six figure price.

 

Can we put the XV16 in the Cien?

 

Build both. Of course, I am not sure GM shouldn't restructure its brand layout. Cadillac, at least in the US, has badly hurt its image. GM may need a new super-luxury nameplate it it plans to sell 100K-plus cars. Maybe they can get rights to the Duesenberg name! I mean, if Mercedes thinks it needs to resurrect Maybach--and Mercedes has a great name--then Caddy is in a world of hurt.
