I don't think he's lost his mind, but the M80 didn't quite hit home in the intended market to make it to production. I personally thought it was neat, but I think it would get lost in a cluttered marketplace where nitch vehicles can only do so much. Also, the SRT-4 probably took out some of the steam from the sub-$20k performance market for Dodge to make a proposal for the M80.
Oh, an aggressively-styled FWD unibody wimpmobile - I'm sure that'd be a huge hit with the youngsters
A vehicle styled like a mini-PowerWagon and built on the TJ chassis would indeed be cool (especially if given the same equipment as the Wrangler Rubicon). If the pocketrocket crowd can get a serious on-road machine like the SRT-4, then why not make something similar for the off-highway crowd?

The PT Cruiser in turn is on the Neon chassis.
How you would build a truck on a Neon chassis and have anyone take it seriously is beyond me. Then again, since that M80 concept looked so dorky putting it on a Neon chassis would seem to fit....
