Chrysler 300C???

Chrysler 300C???
I don't get it, I thought the Chrysler 300 series went to the next letter each year back in it's hayday from A to L..........then in the late 90's the new 300 was the M.........so what's with the new one being 300C? Can someone explain this?

Besides, it has a better ring than a 300N.
