Chrysler 300C 0-60: 5.3secs!
Found this over at Dodgeforum.
there's a nice 5 page artical on the 300C in the may issue of car and driver, what's really impresive is the acceleration numbers they got with it.
0 - 60mph: 5.3 seconds
1/4 mile: 13.9 seconds @ 102mph
top speed: 130mph (governor limited)
70 - 0mph: 184ft
roadholding: .77g
C/D ovbeserved fuel economy: 17mpg
Not bad for a 4000lbs car.
The 3.5:
Car & Driver times for a 3.5L Magnum are
0-60: 7.5 sec
1/4: 15.8[at]89mph
I should also note that while reading this, I ran across that MT and times of 5.8. Still though, that is pretty quick for such a heavy car.

I just drove a Hemi 300C at Chrysler's Art of Driving event. There is no way they are doing 13.9. Car & Driver got a ringer.
Still, I told my business partner, "Run, don't walk, and get rid of your 300M."
It's a wonderful car--especially when you're talking $23K for a V6, $32K for a Hemi, and $37K with all the techno-crap that most people like these days.

If the car tested was a ringer, there wasn't much done to it.
Pretty much every test I've read so far has it doing a 5.5 to 5.8 0-60 runs and the quarter in the very low 14s at about 100 mph.
I'm only guessing here but I suspect, if anything, someone ran the car's testing in cold weather, and probably nothing more.
BTW: Has anyone noticed that there's one front end for the 300C and another for the non-hemi 300? (Check the headlights and the area directly underneath them.

Hmm . . . felt slow. Like 14.5-14.8 slow. Didn't really feel much faster than the turbo PT cruiser convertible (new prize for world's largest doors on that car).
Maybe the traction control . . . or maybe I've been driving the 427 too much.

Wow! With a few mods, the 300C or Magnum should be deep into the 13s. That is incredible for a 4000 lb sedan/wagon. Perfect for someone like me who needs a family hauler. My Hemi woke up when I cleared out the intake tract and the exhaust. If someone makes a programmer, we may see them into the high 12s. Jardine/Thorley makes some nice mid length headers for them as well.
If the 5.7 liter "semi" Hemi pumps out 390 lbs/ft of torque, and can make the 2 ton 300C scoot along right around 6 seconds to 60 (conservatively), one can only imagine what 440 lbs/ft of torque will do with the slightly shorter and lighter Dodge Charger!
13.9@102 is a little faster than I would have expected, but not much. Check out the times that magazines have gotten with various V8 Mercedes. MT got 13.2@107 with a CLK55. The CLK is about 300 pounds lighter than a 300C and it has 362hp. Times I've seen for the E500 are around 14 flat at 100mph. That's for a 4000 pound sedan with only 302hp.
The Mercedes 5 speed auto is very efficent and has great ratios for acceleration.
